Are you interested in the Health Professions?

 

The Wellness Academy at Huckleberry Youth Programs is looking for candidates.  If you have sophomore credits and a 2.0 – 3.0 GPA, you are eligible to apply.  Please sign-up in the Wellness Center for an informational pizza party this Wednesday, Oct. 24th at 1:30 to learn more about the program.

Stressed out? Feeling sad and don’t know why? Wondering what’s holding you back? Have questions about your health?  We can help!

The Wellness Center at Ida B. Wells High School provides support to students who are experiencing challenges common to urban youth. Issues include:

 

    • peer relationships

    • stress, anxiety, depression

    • trauma

    • suicide

    • alcohol, tobacco & drug abuse

    • reproductive health, pregnancy prevention

    • sexual orientation, gender identity & coming out  

 

Our services are free, confidential, and located on-site!

We know that high school is tough.  That’s why we’re here to support you through it.  We're open 8am - 4pm.  Drop in before school, during lunch or after school.
